Inducted into the Phi Theta Kappa honors society. The purpose of Phi Theta Kappa is to recognize and encourage scholarship among two-year college students. Phi Theta Kappa provides opportunity for the development of leadership and service.

The Society is the nation's largest leadership honor society. Students are selected by their college for membership based on either academic standing or leadership potential. Candidacy is a nationally recognized achievement of honorable distinction.

The Hal R. Ramer Award goes to a graduate who has faced extreme adversity and succeeded because of fortitude in the face of adversity.

The Who's Who Among Students list is a national program that recognizes outstanding college students.
